Playing With Love in The Land of Enchantment
Joshua Smith is thrilled to return to The Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival August 2-23. Concerts feature Bach sonatas with Kathleen McIntosh August 4-6 and a unique presentation of the very rarely heard “From the Canyons to the Stars” by Oliver Messiaen on August 23, conducted by Alan Gilbert.
Cabaret: Between two World Wars

Mr. Smith goes to Philadelphia
Joshua Smith is headed to Philadelphia to play Boulez, Schubert, Kurtag, CPE Bach, Bartok with Christina Dahl (who will also play Bolcom and Adés). The Cleveland Orchestra European tour
The Cleveland Orchestra embarks on its 14th international concert tour under the direction of music director Franz Welser-Möst in September 2014, performing thirteen concerts in seven cities between September 7 and 22.
The tour includes six performances of Jörg Widmann’s flute concerto “Flûte en suite,” with Cleveland’s principal flute Joshua Smith, who premiered the concerto in 2011.
